Mabuza confirmed his resignation as Vice President of South Africa
Speaking at his brother’s funeral in Mpumalanga on Saturday, David Mabuza confirmed his resignation as South Africa’s Deputy President and said President Cyril Ramaphosa would make the announcement.
In the video shared by journalist Samkele MasekoMabuza was at the podium talking about respecting Ramaphosa and expressing his hope that those left behind (working in organizations and for the government) will respect him.

Tourism SA confirmed the resignation of three board members by R1bn sponsorship deal
Three councilors from the SA Tourism board have resigned amid outrage from South Africans over a controversial R1 billion sponsorship proposal from English Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspurs.
SA Tourism board chairman Dr Aubrey Mhlongo, in a statement on Saturday, announced that Enver Duminy, Ravi Nadasen, and Rosemary Anderson have resigned from the board with immediate effect.
Mhlongo did not give a reason for the trio’s sudden departure from the SA Tourism board. He thanked them for their contribution to the agency.

The man who was dragged naked from the shack to sue the City of Cape Town
Bulelani Qolani, who made headlines when he was dragged naked from his home in Khayelitsha by Anti-Land Invasion officers during the 2020 lockdown, says he is taking legal action against the City of Cape Town.
This is according to a press statement issued this week by housing advocacy group Ndifuna Ukwazi.

Phalatse may have what it takes to beat Steenhuisen, DA insiders say
Democratic Alliance (DA) leader John Steenhuisen may not be automatically re-elected to the hot seat when the party elects its leader at the party’s Federal Congress in April, according to some DA insiders.
It is widely known that former two-time Joburg mayor, Mpho Phalatse, will be betting on himself to lead the party into an anticipated battle in next year’s national polls.
What we don’t know yet is whether someone else will throw their blue hat into the ring.

ActionSA’s Edwin Ntshidi: From teenage thug to superhero
From the pen to the ballot box, that is how former journalist and current ActionSA member Edwin Ntshidi is known to those who have followed his work as a journalist.
Ntshidi was born 45 years ago and grew up with her grandmother and uncle in Wesselsbron, Free State.
Like many South Africans who grew up during the brutal apartheid system, Ntshidi’s education was not the easiest.

URC result: Stormers score six tries in hammering of Sharks in Durban
The Sharks were without a number of Springbok players, who were resting or perhaps attending the wedding of team-mate Eben Etzebeth, and it showed in their 19-46 loss to the Stormers in a postponed round one United Rugby Championship match in Durban. it’s saturday
The Stormers were also missing a number of key men but had too much firepower for the hosts, who were beaten in several areas and heavily penalized by referee Jaco Peyper.

I expect the worst from ‘The Real Housewives of Gqeberha’
I expected the worst from The Real Housewives of Gqeberha and after watching the first episode together with the cast in the Eastern Cape, I am happy to admit that I was wrong.
It didn’t help that a funny edit of one of the cast members’ taglines was shown as promotional material in the lead-up to the show, giving the idea that the show was going to be ghetto and causing the audience to cringe.
