
Bulldog who is the plaintiff seeks damages for defamation and also for the publication of false information against him by the defendant.
In court on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the plaintiff’s lawyer, led by Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, told the court that the parties had started negotiations for a settlement and that they needed a one-month adjournment.
Justice Joseph Adu Agyemang Owusu, who presides over General Jurisdiction 13 of the Accra High Court, after hearing the parties, encouraged them to settle the matter out of court.
On November 2, 2022, Shatta Wale made a publication on his Facebook page implicating his former manager, Bullgod, in the murder of his artiste manager Fennec Okyere, among others.
Fennec Okyere is Kese Kwaw’s manager.
He was murdered at his Manet Gardens residence on Spintex Road, Accra, on Thursday, March 13, 2014, by unknown assailants.
Plaintiff seeks the following relief
A Declaration of the Court that a series of publications made by the defendant as particularised in the Statement of Claim is defamatory to the plaintiff.
A declaration by the court that the series of publications made by the defendant in the Statement of Claim is malicious.
Order of the Court directed to the defendant on all social media pages or accounts, making the publication in seven (7) consecutive days of the inappropriate retraction and apology for the defamatory words that have been published by the Defendant about the Plaintiff, such retraction and apology for vetted and approved by the Plaintiff’s attorney.
The Court’s order for a continuous injunction restraining the defendant, its agents, workers, employees and servants from publishing or publishing defamatory words against the Plaintiff.
General damages for defamation.
Special damages for defamation.
Punitive damages for false malicious publication against Plaintiff.
Costs, and such other order or remedy as the Court thinks fit.
