Could Sunak face a challenge before the election? – politicalbetting.com

As I noticed recently, one of the big problems facing Rishi Sunak is that he is still struggling in the polls. The Tories continue to be miles away which if repeated in the general election will see hundreds of Tory MPs lose their seats.

It was estimated yesterday that if the election follows some of the latest polls, the Tories will be in a few seats and the SNP will be the main opposition.

I am very skeptical about this because a large part of the Labor lead in the opinion polls did not come down to Tory Voters switching to LAB but Tory Voters from the last Election and now say they don’t know.

One of the factors discussed in the papers this morning is that Boris Johnson has made a huge income and there is speculation that he can muster the resources to seek the top job again.

I’m sure he doesn’t understand the circumstances that forced him to resign last year. This is from the Guardian today

Speculations are now rife that Johnson will use the money coming to his office to launch a political comeback – categorically rejected by his allies – especially with Rishi Sunak failing to advance in the polls … the office has taken £1m from Christopher Harborne, an investor in crypto and materials Thai-based aviation fuel, which previously donated £6m to the Brexit party, is now known as Reform UK…But the truth is that if Johnson wants to return to frontline politics, then some of the gains he has enjoyed over the past few months could become obstacles.

In the betting Johnson second favorite for the next PM at 10% chance
