Christian Conservatives Out Here DEFENDING That Youth Pastor Who Dated A 14-Year-Old!

Remember this guy? About a year ago we learned a story about Joshua Wesley. He was one of those “cool” youth pastors who made Christianity Youtube content, very hip with kids. Although if you know the rest of the story, it’s a bad word…

Wesely went viral when the internet discovered it Instagram post celebrating his girlfriend’s 18th birthday. Yes, you read that right. She wrote about her boyfriend (now husband) Isabelle in November 2020:

“Finally 18. I can’t explain in words what you mean to me and what kind of person you are. You’ve been my best friend for four years, you’re my boyfriend which I love, respect, honor, and cherish more than anything.”

“The end of 18” is quite dirty to say without context at all, but the “four years” part is what really caught everyone’s attention. It took minimal research to uncover the fact that these two have been dating since they were just 14 years old!

The year before the “finally 18” post she posted a birthday photo of the two, with the caption:

“Anniversary: ​​3 YEARS! Thank you for the past three years my wonderful friend. You made me the most beautiful person in my life and showed me what true love is. I don’t deserve you and I thank Jesus every day for the great gift you gave me to me!”

That was when she was 17, so that means she started dating when she was 14. She was about 19, btw. It is not clear if he knew her before. It was all quite terrifying.

Anyway, the story caught fire again this week, maybe after showing it on the first anniversary of the go-round. People tend to get angry when creeps face zero consequences. And the worst thing this person has to face to groom a young girl when the job is literally to give her and peers moral guidance? They should delete some IG posts to avoid negative comments. However, this time, the story is fuel for controversy because it appears in a world where the idea of ​​”improvement” is even apart from the hot button. Look, conservatives have been fighting a culture war because their positions on real political topics have become so fringe and weird. He used to be against big government, now he wants an authoritarian state where books are banned and women’s periods are tracked to make sure they aren’t secretly pregnant. He is also strangely pro-Putin now. The thing is, one of the most important things is to fight the “makeup artist”. By definition, it seems that anyone in the LGBTQ community has the courage to show children that being gay is OK. Drag shows are banned across the country. Don’t think that these things have nothing to do with “improvement”.

Which brings us back to Pastor Josh here. When faced with a true groomer, a man who chooses a young girl and starts a relationship with her – the thing say are upset about – funny things happened. A bunch of these conservative Christians have been right plead they! indeed!

Take the author Mike Partykaconservative Christian writer and YouTuber who has spent the last few days against ALL COMERS to argue why Wesely is on correct. He first posted on Tuesday:

“This 24YO German youth pastor:

1) Dating this girl since the age of 14 (German age of consent).
2) Get married at 18 (knowing they will only get older).

He didn’t do anything illegal, he didn’t sell her to a new 14YO, and *of course* he was called a pedophile.

Yes, the age of consent in Germany, with parental consent, is 14 – if you’re up to 19 years old, that’s him. So yeah, that’s what he did valid. Not the best argument for being OK, right? Many things are legal but also morally reprehensible. Just off the top of our heads: child labor, marital rape, slavery. But Partyka has strongly argued that a 19-year-old dating a 14-year-old is normal! In fact, they think so!

“Did he ‘groom’ her? A heterosexual woman? Hers? What should every woman be?”

Not even hiding homophobia. Super cool. He even made his own juxtaposition so that no one else would be curious. He said:

“Some Leftist got really angry today tweeting about a 19YO German legally dating a 14YO who almost forgot to bring his preschoolers to put a dollar in a drag queen’s garter.”

Seriously… HOW CAN YOU BE STRONG TO WEAR THIS NEW DRESS??? This person calls them “groomers” in the same breath they say 19-year-old should be allowed to date 14-year-old! For real, just look! He continued:

“While the left wing is out there grooming children to become sexual deviants because 5% of the current population is not enough to remove stones continuously.”

Again, using the word “improvement” to mean “telling kids their gender and choices is good and not disgusting.” When faced with reality improvement, a textbook case of a person in a position of authority taking claws to someone far too young – even someone’s girlfriend – who is supposed to be morally right? huh??

When the critics rightly pointed out the argument that if the pedo stayed with the girl, the sexual harassment was justified, he replied:

“My argument is that “improvement” means setting a 14YO on a course he shouldn’t be on, so there’s a higher burden to prove ‘improvement’ when the end result is a trad wife. Does a deviant look at a trad-wife and think, ‘There’s a problem’?

People do the math and see they dated when she was 14 and he was already 19! Because it’s GROSS! This person is actually arguing for a child’s wedding! And the creeping LGBT community they exit? WTF?!?

This guy even said that he asked a 14-year-old boy when he was a student, and it was okay because he was a “teenager”. When someone asked him out, he defended himself:

“I think you have a 14YO stereotype in your head that looks, sounds, and acts too young for an 18YO stereotype in your head. But reality is not a stereotype.

No, look, he’s very mature for his age… *shudder*

When someone asked about the “teenage” angle, why it wasn’t in his mind when he was 19 and not 20, he actually told himself, saying:

“It just happened that all the girls I was attracted to after both of them were 18+. Would I have asked the same college 14YO if I was 20YO or older? I think that my age is no longer in the “-teenage” would be a mental barrier for me.

And he added:

The next time you hear these people shouting the word “groomer” just remember how nobody talks about real grooming. Because Mike is right about one thing – it’s all “left” we see upset about Wesely. All the conservative culture warriors are silent on this.
