The 2019 tweets blew up in the faces of House Republicans during hearings earlier this week as they desperately tried to expose efforts to shut down conservative messages on Twitter.
But it turns out that it was Trump officials who tried to censor Teigen’s tweets, “because the statement was derogatory.” [then] president,” former Twitter employee Anika Collier Navaroli testified before members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
The tweet remained, Navaroli suggested, because Twitter’s policy at the time allowed “up to 3 insults” in any tweet.
In response, Teigen wrote that her tweet contained only two insults, because “pussy-ass goes together.”
