‘Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are parents again.
Just hours after the arrival of his newest little one, Legend broke the exciting news to the crowd that had gathered for his private concert.
“Blessed day,” the singer said, according to People Magazine.
The artist added that while he “didn’t sleep,” he felt “calm” after “spending a lot of time in the hospital” on January 13, the day the baby was born.
It wasn’t easy for Teigen and Legend to get here.
This famous couple lost a child in 2020.
“We’re in shock and it’s the kind of pain you only hear about, the kind of pain you’ve never felt before,” Teigen wrote on Instagram.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give the baby the fluids it needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions,” he said at the time.
“It’s just not enough.”
The star, who is also a parent to son Miles Theodore, 4½, and daughter, Luna Simone, 6½.
In August of last year, Teigen told followers that she was pregnant – after much effort.
“A few years ago it was a vague emotion, but joy has filled the house and heart again. 1 billion shots later (on the legs lately, as you can see!) we have another one on the way,” wrote the model on Instagram .
“Every appointment I’ve been saying to myself, ‘ok if I’m healthy today I’ll announce it’ but then I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard my heartbeat and decided I was still nervous.
“I didn’t think I’d come out of the appointment more happy than nervous, but so far, everything’s been perfect and good and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.
“Ok phew it’s hard to keep this up for so long!”
We don’t know the gender or the name of Teigen and Legend’s third son or daughter.
But we know how honest Teigen is about the process.
“Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make many difficult and exciting decisions,” she said in September.
“It became very clear halfway through that he was not going to live, and I wasn’t going to make it without medical intervention.
“Let’s just call it: It’s an abortion.”
