Chris Rock Roasts Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith For ‘Entanglement’ Drama As He Addresses Oscars Slap In New Netflix Special!

In commemoration of the slap heard around the world in the corner, Chris Rock can’t help but go off about what went down between him and Will Smith in the past year Oscar during his new comedy special.

For those who need a refresher, the 54-year-old actor stormed the stage at the Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, and slapped Chris across the face after the comedian cracked a joke. Jada Pinkett Smithhis head was shaved. After returning to his seat, he shouted at him SNL alum to “keep my wife’s name out of the king’s mouth.” The whole thing exploded with Will, who won Best Actor that same night, eventually apologizing and backing out Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was also banned from attending the event for 10 years.

While Chris has yet to give an official interview about the incident, he has taken a moment on his comedy tour to make some jokes about the next few months. Now, the 58-year-old is not holding back and talking at length about the controversial time in his life. Netflix special, Fury of Choicein Baltimore Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday night. During the show, Chris made several references to the infamous slapping incident, first saying:

“Whoever utters a hurtful word never gets hit.”

He then joked Snoop Doggadvertisement, adding:

“I love Snoop, I’m not disrespecting Snoop. The last thing I need is another crazy rapper, right?”

However, it wasn’t until the end of the special that he really got into the scandal. At Madagascar The actor began by remarking:

“Everybody knows. Yeah, it happened, like a year ago, I got hit on at the bastard king Oscars by these moms. People were like, ‘Does it hurt? It still hurts! I’ve got ‘Summertime’ playing in my ear.”

Even so, Chris insisted that he was “not a victim”:

“You’re not going to see me on Oprah or Gayle crying. It’s not going to happen. I’m taking hits like Pacquiao, bastard.

From there, the Adults star decided to throw some shade on “entanglement” Jada with August Alsina which happened while she and Will were on a break. Chris claimed it Fresh Prince of Bel Air “selective anger training” alum:

“Everybody knows that it has nothing to do with me. I have no entanglements. His wife is the king of his son’s friend. Now, I usually wouldn’t talk about this shit, But for some reason, this n***** put this shit on the internet. I don’t understand why two talented people would do such a poor thing.

Referencing couple episodes from Red Table Discussion about the situation, he added:

“We’ve all been lied to, none of us have been interviewed by the man who lied to us. Why the fuck did you do that shit? He hurt people way more than me… Everybody called him a dog, and who hit? Me!”

Closing out the set, Chris brought up Jada’s comment about how she shouldn’t be hosting the Oscars because Will wasn’t nominated for the part. concussion during the “#OscarsSoWhite” reaction in 2016:

“No one voted for this dog. He started this shit… Then this n**** gave me a concussion! I love Will Smith… he makes great movies. I’ve rooted for Will Smith all my life. And now, I watch Emancipation so you can see him thrown out.

Wtf. And why didn’t Chris fight at the Oscars last year? In one final dig, he explained:

“Because I have parents! Because I was raised! And you know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people!”
