Chelsea won their third in a row with a 3-1 victory over a struggling Leicester City side.

Buoyed by their recent Champions League success against Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea started the match strongly, with Ben Chilwell scoring against his former club with a superb volley.

Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall both hit the woodwork quickly, and Felix had a goal disallowed for offside by VAR.

Leicester equalized through Patson Daka, who scored a fine goal after Ricardo Pereira had beaten Felix outside the box. However, Chelsea hit back before half-time thanks to a fine finish by Kai Havertz.

Mykhailo Mudryk thought he had scored Chelsea’s first goal, but it was disallowed for offside in the second half. Mateo Kovacic sealed victory for Chelsea with a volley from Mudryk’s header.

Leicester City, who finished the match with ten men after Wout Faes was sent off for his second booking, have now lost five games in a row and are just one point above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s mini-resurgence continues as they maintain their winning streak.
