Chelsea may offer Pulisic plus cash to Napoli for Osimhen | The Guardian Nigeria News

Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Christian Pulisic to Napoli in exchange for Victor Osimhen in a player-plus-cash transfer, writes talksport.com.

The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players in Europe this season where he has led his side to the top of the Serie A table.

21 goals in the top flight have helped Naples to a 19-point lead, and the club is on course for its first title since 1990.

He has also fired Napoli into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they have a good route to reach the final on June 10.

As well as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with the Nigeria international, with talkSPORT understanding he is worth more than £100million. But according to Calciomercato, the Blues are looking to steal away their Premier League rivals by offering American winger Pulisic.

Pulisic moved to Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around £58million, but has struggled for consistency in England.

Italian news outlets have claimed the 24-year-old could be used as bait by Chelsea, with owner Todd Boehly also offering Napoli money.

Although the report failed to mention how much Chelsea would be prepared to give up along with serving Pulisic. And there is no indication whether Napoli will be ready to accept such a deal.

However, Chelsea decided to value Italian Osimhen after identifying him as the ‘right profile’ to lead the line.

Osimhen has made it no secret that he wants to play in England in the future after declaring it a ‘dream’.

He said: “I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world (Serie A) is an incredible feeling for me.

“Many people around the world think the Premier League is the best and strongest league. But now I am in one of the best leagues in the world, the Italian Serie A.

“I’m working hard to make sure that I will achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League one day. But like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep this momentum going and keep doing well.
