It’s a new day in the life of Chelsea Houska.
The biggest change, of course, is the fact that Chelsea is now the star of her own HGTV show, and her ratings are through the roof.
Okay, we think it’s unfair to call him that own show, since Chelsea co-hosted with husband Cole DeBoer.
But Cole is a cool, humble guy who might be happy to let Chelsea be the star of the relationship.
It was a nice change from the other major relationships in Chelsea’s life.
Of course, we’re talking about the nightmare situation that happened with Adam Lind.
If you’ve been watching Teen Mom for a while, you probably remember Adam as the father of Chelsea’s first child, daughter Aubree.
Although “sperm donor” might be a more accurate term than “father”, as Chelsea and Cole have raised Aubree, and Adam is no more than a sporadic and chaotic presence on the fringes of her life.
In October of last year, Lind was arrested for failing to pay child support.
Soon, Chelsea spoke publicly about her ex for the first time in years, announcing that she had a job and was making a decent living.
So she’s not avoiding child support because she’s broke – she doesn’t feel like paying it.
Lind gave up his visitation rights years ago, but he is still Aubree’s father, and Chelsea has made it clear that she wants him to have a relationship.
Perhaps that’s the reason, Chelsea surprised Adam in a recent interview with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
“Honestly, everyone wants to know about our relationship and where it’s at, and I know everything. That’s the main question because the story is so big[line] from us,” Chelsea told The Ashley.
“Our relationship is fine. We’re not best friends, but we’re not enemies. If I see him, there will be no bad feelings,” she said.
Chelsea says the situation is easier to navigate now that Aubree is in her teens.
“I think it helps that Aubree is young now and doesn’t have a lot to do. [for them]. It’s amazing,” Houska said.
“There were no bad vibes and just a very open relationship,” Chelsea said Us Weekly.
“No bad feelings. Sometimes we see him and it’s okay.
Chelsea says that after years of turmoil, the entire inner circle has reached a good place.
“I think everybody is in a really good place,” he said.
Adam may not deserve to be forgiven – but Chelsea is mature enough to know that this is what’s best for her family.
And that’s why fans are now enjoying him on two different networks!
