Buckle up, read Perezcious, because there’s a lot to break down here!
For those who have not seen the drama TikTok yet, hostility has broken out between them Gabi Butler and La’Darius Marshall – both former Navarro College cheerleaders from Netflix documentary cheering – after some major bombshells were dropped. It all started when a 2018 picture of Gabi wearing blackface resurfaced on the internet a few weeks ago. He responded to the situation Twittersaid:
“In 2018, I was in my first year at Navarro College before going to Daytona. All the members of my rookie class were told by our veteran friends that we should come to the initiation at CTA (the Allstar location on campus where we train). Veterans make us rich in all black and paint our faces; certain members wear ski masks because they don’t have face paint. My new friends, including some who are also colored, are asked to do this, and we comply with the request because we don’t want to get into trouble with the veterans .

He also included “pictures and videos of some other new friends following the same instructions,” adding:
“I’m sorry, I have to pull my friends, but I have no choice but to tell the truth about this situation because lies have spread on social media.”
The 25-year-old athlete later said that he did not refuse to participate because he had “never heard of blackface and did not know that it was important.” Um… being uneducated is not an excuse for this happening. But basically, he refused to apologize, admit that he was unhappy, and handled the whole situation badly. So enter La’Darius, who calls out Gabi for blaming others – specifically people of color:
“No, what we’re not going to do is throw ‘other people of color’ under the bus. Other than the minority saying this, I’m talking to you and saying it’s not a good idea. So no, we don’t all have the same feelings, I forgive you but don’t sit here and lie.
When a fan asked if she was still friends with Gabi two days after clapping back, she replied:
“Yes, behind my back. I have always loved him but I have always told my business friends when they were wrong. Right is right, wrong is wrong.”
Well, that seems to have changed because he was OFF while answering some fan questions about the situation TikTok this week – and also made some surprising revelations about Gabi. When someone asked if he supported the cheerleader’s statement on the controversy, La’Darius claimed that he was done supporting her and claimed that he only supported her because she was his ex! what?! He explains:
“I’ve supported this dog since we started cheerleading when I was at Navarro. I’m tired. I don’t support him anymore. The only reason I support him is because we sleep together. That’s the only reason we deal with each other, because we are with each other other.This girl actually sleeps in my dorm every day while in Navarro.

And he brought the receipt! The 24-year-old then shared several videos of him and Gabi kissing and cuddling. See (below):

In the middle of the post, Gabi continued Instagram Live to repeat the claim, saying:
“I’m not afraid of you La’Darius Marshall. I’m not afraid of you, so if you want to keep your mouth open, keep walking, because it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, people who want to talk smack, want to talk smack because they’re so bored or lonely or very tired of what’s going on in their life.So I won’t let people destroy me and try to get to me because I’m the light of the world and you’re the darkness.

The back-and-forth isn’t over yet! He later posted another clip on TikTok Thursday, calling Gabi a “dumba**” and saying he had no evidence of any wrongdoing he had done before:
“You keep sitting there acting like I’m devilish and dark and twisted. The only devilish and dark and twisted thing I’ve ever done, and I can admit it, was when you had a girlfriend. And I mean every single one of them. So as for me, I’m not going to sit here and argue with someone who is really lying.”

Irelyn is a bimbo who doesn’t even know me trying to lie to the director of Navarro Athletic. Monica knew they said that and didn’t even check the facts but it’s okay bc I think it’s for them.

He proceeded to show a screenshot of the conversation between them from Snapchatwhere he used the word N. La’Darius also made several allegations of physical abuse in the cheer organization again, suing the head coach Monica Aldama “choked” him at one point. I told these people to leave me out of it and don’t lie just tell the truth. They do what they want and I do the same. He thinks ????
