CHAN 2022: Black Galaxies last eight points confirmed
Ghana have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2022 African Nations Championship following Madagascar’s stunning win over Sudan on Tuesday evening.
The Black Galaxies beat Sudan 3-1 last week to put themselves in a good position to qualify, but they still need Madagascar’s help.
Ghana needed Madagascar to avoid a heavy defeat against Sudan to qualify, and Barea exceeded expectations with a 3-0 win.
As a result, Madagascar qualified for the next round as group winners, Ghana finished second and Sudan exited the tournament.
Following Morocco’s decision not to participate in the tournament due to diplomatic tensions with hosts Algeria, Madagascar, Ghana, and Sudan were awarded three points and three goals.
