Nobody throws a party like Hollywood’s A-listers, and for some, one ceremony just isn’t enough! Are they celebrating a milestone birthday, like Alec and Hilaria Baldwinor recommitting to one another after a rough patch, like Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne or Beyoncé and Jay-Zmany stars have taken the second plunge with their spouses.
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have made a tradition of renewing their vows every year after first tying the knot in August 2014.
“We always do!” at The Masked Singer special star to him Us Weekly in September 2019. “And it’s great to take the time when you’re so busy to remember the words you said and the vows and the promises. Not because we need it, but it’s great. … Every day I wake up and go, ‘I’m married with my Prince Charming.’”
McCarthy noted on her five-year anniversary with Wahlberg that renewing vows never gets old. “Every renewal is like this. We can’t believe it’s been five years because it feels like we’ve lived,” she said. “But it also feels like two weeks. It’s strange because we have that new love.”
Heidi Klum and Seal also renewed their vows every year after their marriage in May 2005. However, they separated in January 2012 and finalized their divorce in October 2014.
“I was married eight times to Seal,” the supermodel said Sunday Times in July 2021. “I thought it would be kind of, like, fun.”
He added: “I thought it was going to be a love affair. But you know, that didn’t work either. I tried, you can’t say I didn’t try!
Klum admitted that she lost faith in the ceremony after a while because she felt like “it’s just not working,” even though she “tried” to stay on track.
Meanwhile, Seal is not happy about the renewal of vows. “It was my ex-husband’s idea, to be honest,” he said Andhika Radio in November 2015. “It’s become a bit of a circus, which I don’t really like because, by default, I’m a very private person.”
While hosting Andy Cohen Speaking of how the ceremony was announced, the singer shared, “That’s the thing he didn’t like the most.”
