Why Caroline Manzo really walk away from the role Real Housewives of New Jersey?
When looking back at the time she was on the show with Judge Tamra and Teddy Mellencamp on the podcast and respond Theresa Judgereunion with Jacqueline LauritaProviding an update on the kids, and more, Caroline explains what led her to leave the Bravo reality show.
“I haven’t watched anything Housewife since I left. I always say, ‘Why would I suffer for free?’” Caroline asked on the April 7 episode of Two T’s in a Pod.
But he is still in contact with some of his former castmates.
“[I talk to Kathy Wakile] every now and again. [Dolores Catania], of course. Dolores is a ride or a tie. He told me what was on his mind. His children are the best. I have known his children since they were little, so I have known them for a thousand years,” he said.
Caroline also knows her boyfriend Dolores, Paul Connellwhom she started dating in late 2021 after breaking up with him David Principe.
“I like Paulie. He deserves it. [But] I don’t know if he wants the ring,” Caroline noted of the potential engagement.
Although Caroline claimed to be Dolores’ ex-wife, Frank Catania“Don’t want him to get a ring,” he applauded his former partner for maintaining a healthy dynamic.
“The family dynamic there was unusual, but it worked for them,” he said. “I’ve always said she should write a book on how to get a divorce right because I remember in the beginning when things didn’t go so well between them and how far they went… [They] put this relationship out there and [said], ‘You know what? Even if you’re divorced it doesn’t mean you have to be a bitter enemy.’”
While Caroline speaks openly about Dolores, she quickly dies when asked about the rumored feud between Dolores and My messenger.
“No, I’m not going to talk about it. We don’t need another layer, please. Like I said, I don’t get angry for nothing,” he said.
Moving on to a lighter topic, her children, Caroline said Albie, Chrisand Lauren Manzo has been out of his house “for years”.
“My kids are about an hour and a half away, they’re down the coast, and Lauren’s two towns over, so she’s about 10 minutes, 15 minutes away,” he said. “[My granddaughter Markie] here now. He was only six.
Caroline loves being Markie’s grandmother, and now, she is her only grandchild.
“[Lauren’s] one and done with him. I’m sorry, but okay, whatever,” she said.
Later, when asked if the boys would have children of their own, Caroline said, “We’ll see. none of my business.”
“He did a lot of good things,” he continued. “The man is very busy. They have a hospitality group with restaurants and stuff, so they have a couple of really big projects in the summer down at the beach. Lauren has, of course, her own business here… Everyone is doing their job.
After explaining it was the only way he would come back RHONJ will make a lot of money, Caroline tells Tamra and Teddi she left the show after season five because it was “toxic”.
“It changed my world. It changed the dynamic in my house because when you finish filming, it doesn’t mean it’s over. That’s when the phone calls start. That’s when the texts start,” she explained. “Filming is the easy part.”
“It just doesn’t stop,” he continued. “It’s just a non-stop thing, and then you have people who are obsessed with fame and having that moment on the cover of a magazine, who will do anything to bring you down as long as they shine, whatever it is. It’s the truth or a lie… And I like, ‘I’m too old for this shit. Why am I doing this?'”
Caroline may have been axed from the series, but she loved seeing Teresa and Jacqueline make mistakes.
“I’m really good at it,” he confirmed. “I think they really miss each other, and that’s where the poison is coming from, because it’s from a place of pain. They’re really good friends and the show is hurting their relationship.
“I feel like I’m a victim of the show, and I’m glad they’re back,” she added.
Also, on the podcast, Caroline announced that she recently filmed an episode of her YouTube cooking series, Food, Love and Chaos with Caroline Manzowith Isaac Mizrahi.
“[He] be my guest let him come to the house, and we have fun. He’s so sweet,” Caroline gushed.
But they don’t always film at home.
“A couple of weeks later I want to start a business,” Caroline said. “We went to Brooklyn last week and just went to all the different hotspots from when I was little and just tried to go to different restaurants and stuff.”
Although Caroline is no stranger to showbiz, she says hosting her own show has been a learning curve.
“I did everything myself. [And it] it sucks because you don’t know how much money you’re spending, what you’re doing, and when you’re doing it yourself, it’s a lot,” he said. “It’s a work in progress but it’s fun.”
“At least it’s mine, and I don’t have to worry about any nonsense,” he added.
