Caroline Dubois brutally dispatched Feriche Mashaury 47 seconds into the third round, while Viddal Riley unleashed a ferocious right hook to cut and finally stop Anees Taj.

After almost perfect 2022, Caroline Dubois started his year with his sixth professional win and fifth stoppage victory in a row.

He started at a characteristic pace, sending quick jabs to catch up Feriche Mashaurybefore he launched a left backhand to the body.

Dubois works well with the lead hand, landing a right hook to the body. Feriche sensed the pressure and quickly looked for it.

The Londoner’s speed was too much for Mashaury and Dubois was forced to go down for the count in the second half.

He has set himself the target of outdoing Chantelle Cameron, now the undisputed super-lightweight champion, who stopped Mashaury in two rounds and hunted for the finish, only to run out of time in the round.

Dubois didn’t have to wait much longer. They continued to attack and referee Howard Foster intervened at 0-47 from the third over even though Mashaury slung another punch.

He is ambitious. Dubois wants four more fights before the end of the year, which will eventually lead to a world title.

“It’s not about the length, but I want someone who can fight back and will bounce back,” Dubois said.

“He was negative from the first bell, he just turned and walked, he didn’t want to participate.

“It’s hard to fight someone who doesn’t want to fight, so I’m looking forward to the next one!”

During the build-up to the war with Tottenham’s Vidal Riley, Anees Taj talking about a grudge match. He carried that bad intent into the opening round, charging forward swinging hooks.

But Riley, a more compact boxer, took him to the left hand. He was struck more accurately using the left as well, even if the support of the big hook sailed just a touch too high as Taj ducked him.

He was outboxed so, still determined, Taj tried to outfight him. That made him have a better innings in the second half. But in the third, Riley began to catch him with dangerous right hands. Cross Riley slams Taj in the jaw.

The cut only got worse and at the start of the fourth round, he had to be pulled out.

The clubbing shot took its toll and by the fifth round, TKV had struck with a right hand.

Armstrong struggled to contain himself. But he absorbed the punishment, going the distance of eight rounds.

TKV won with a score of 77-65.

The hammer attack did not stop and the referee had to pull Luanja out with 17 seconds left in the second round.

Stephen McKenna kept Brendon Denes under pressure, put him down in the third and fourth rounds. Wisely Denes remained in the corner and did not answer the fifth bell.
