
Captain Lee Rosbach and how many years it took Below Deck were celebrated in Watch What Happens Live amid rumors of a potential retirement.
As Kate Chastain and Chef Ben Robinson called to Andy Cohen‘s late-night talk show to discuss the times they spent with the captain, Lee confirmed his favorite cast member, pet peeve yacht, and share the best moment in the show.
In the March 27 episode of WWHLKate said Dane Jackson it’s Lee’s favorite.
“He didn’t do a lot of work. He drank a lot. He didn’t have a lot of respect, not a lot of redeeming qualities there,” she said.
And Lee agreed, adding, “Dane woke me up three times between two in the morning and four in the morning.”
Lee also agreed that his biggest pet peeve, which Kate guessed, was missing one radio.
“That’s certainly true. That’s your lifeline,” he explained.
Then, after confirming she’s due “soon” and “can’t wait” to meet her baby, pregnant Kate revealed her favorite moments working with Lee.
“I was very happy when Lee wore the costume I had chosen. He was a good sport and the charter guests were very happy,” she said.
Also during her appearance, Katie said that she is still in touch with some of them traitor co-star.
“[Brandi Glanville] has sent me such a cute and generous baby gift, too [Cirie Fields]. So I talk to both of them quite often and well [Kyle Cooke]” he opened.
In another moment, Lee dished on his favorite memory Below Decksaid, “That’s when I saw my daughter walking down the pier,” before sharing what the past 10 years have been like for her.
“World. He really has. Already … When I started all this crazy – ride … I was just a captain who would be filmed doing his job. And because it’s turned into what it is now with the spinoffs and stuff, it’s humbling,” he said.
During his own segment, Ben, who called from the same building where Kate lives, shared a favorite memory.
“I have a lot of good memories. Captain Lee and I just had a good time just talking to each other and getting to know each other. I really appreciate that. We like the company on a good level, a personal level,” he said.
Then, after saying that he hopes that the season two meltdown is still “the biggest tantrum” that Lee experienced, Ben looked back and Lee’s “bromance” at sea.
“We are kinda bromancing one evening in the galley. I just kinda developed this torchon au fois gras. We are just kinda playing with it and we ended up laying orange zest … And Lee got a little excited,” Ben said. “He must have been a bit excited. It was a good time. I really like the interpersonal moments.
Later, the WWHL: After the ShowAndy asked Lee what fans can expect from the one-night show, “Night Cap,” in Hollywood, Florida, on April 6.
“It’s not going to be the way you want to go in. It’s going to be very different. It’s going to be a lot of things that are… another side of me,” he teased, confirming there would be no singing or dancing.
He then spoke while explaining Below Deckhe believes the series is “changing the face of the industry.”
“We were struggling to find people to get into the industry,” he admitted life before the show began. “People in Iowa don’t know that a job on a yacht… What a yacht? They don’t know that a job exists and they can get a good paying job right out of college or whatever, they can get a good job. They can see the world [and] very happy.”
