Cabinet reshuffle: Here’s when Ramaphosa will announce changes

Presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya held a media briefing on Sunday, saying President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce changes to his cabinet on Monday.

His briefing followed public speculation about Ramaphosa’s health – which Magwenya said was nothing more than a cold – and the Ankole auction.

Magwenya said Ramaphos will address the nation at 7pm on Monday, March 6 to announce his cabinet reshuffle.

Load shedding update: Here’s what the resources are until Wednesday

Ailing electricity utility Eskom has implemented the fourth phase of load shedding from 16:00 on Sunday until 05:00 on Tuesday morning.

After that, load shedding will be reduced to phase three until 16:00.

The fourth stage will then take place from 16:00 to 05:00 on Wednesday morning.

“This pattern of stages three and four will be repeated until further notice,” Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokena said.

Famous Radio DJ Mark Pilgrim passed away on Sunday, March 5 after a long battle with cancer.

Her death was confirmed by Heat 102.7station he last worked for.

“It is with great sadness that I share this sad news. Our hero and brother and beloved radio personality Mark Pilgrim lost his battle with cancer this morning at 10:45.

“He fought bravely to the end,” Hot 102.7 managing director Lloyd Madurai said in a statement issued after noon on Sunday.

Harry and Meghan invited to King Charles’ coronation: report

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markel have been invited to the landmark coronation of King Charles III in May, but have not yet decided whether to attend, reports said on Sunday.

The California-based couple, who are stepping down from the British monarchy in 2020 amid growing internal tensions, “recently received email correspondence from Her Majesty’s office regarding the coronation”, a spokesman for them told Britain’s Sunday Times.

“The decision is immediate as to what the Duke and Duchess are [of Sussex] will attend will not be announced by us now,” added his representative, using his official title.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
