Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that the 77 passengers in the state government staff bus that was hit by the train have been discharged from various hospitals in Lagos.
On March 9, six people were confirmed dead in an accident involving a moving train and a Lagos State staff bus at PWD/Sogunle, Ikeja.
“I am happy to announce that 77 passengers have been discharged from various hospitals in Lagos state after receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the Train/Bus accident,” Mr. Sanwo-Olu wrote on his Twitter handle on Thursday.
“We will continue to support him in his recovery process.

“We have 19 patients who are still receiving treatment and medical personnel are working continuously to ensure their recovery. Let us continue to pray for them.
The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement, said investigations revealed that the cause of the accident was the reckless driving of the staff bus driver.
