President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Joe Ajaero for emerging as the new president of the Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC.
The President also commended the National Executive Committee of the NLC for the success of the congress that produced new leadership.
“After years of hard work and struggle, Ajaero’s selflessness has now paid off. His journey in the Labor movement has been remarkable, marked by many milestones.
“This victory that came out of the congress without rancor,” said the president, “is a sign of the power of democracy in the nation’s labor movement.
“Today, when he ascends to the highest position in the NLC, it is our hope and desire that he will use his position to write a new chapter of progress for all workers and the labor movement in the country and the continent in general.
The President also expressed hope that Mr. Ajaero and his team will continue to be partners in the administration to fulfill the aspirations of Nigerians.
President Buhari also congratulated Ayuba Wabba on his successful completion of his tenure as Nigeria’s labor chief, wishing him the best in the future.
He wants the new executive body to succeed.
