Story of the Game
The 49ers – the NFC’s No. 2 seed and riding a 10-game winning streak in the playoffs – trailed by a point at halftime when a stubborn Seattle outfit led 17-16 at the break. But in the second half, a stirring show by San Francisco, which scored 22 points in the space of 12 minutes at one point, secured passage through to the division round.
The 49ers will now host the Minnesota Vikings next weekend, should they beat the New York Giants in their wild card clash. If the Giants win, it will be either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Dallas Cowboys who travel to San Francisco.
