Pamela Anderson has been in the news a lot this week.
Anderson recently released a memoir and companion documentary on Netflix, and even the most diehard fans of the ’90s icon are learning shocking new truths about Pam’s extraordinary life.
Among the revelations was the fact that Tim Allen sexually abused Pam on the set of Home Improvement, and Kid Rock was a terrible husband.
Okay, so it’s not a big surprise for the two of them, but Pam fans might appreciate that they finally heard the story straight from the source instead of reading about it in the tabloids.
One of the most talked about scenes in Pam’s documentary belongs to the new Hulu limited series Pam & Tommywhich focuses on the drama surrounding Anderson’s leaked sex tape with then-husband Tommy Lee.
Pam says she’s angry about the project, and she’s condemning everyone involved (lead actress Lily Collins was given a pass).
And according to Anderson, both of his sons were offended by the series.
“He said, ‘why did it happen 20 years ago if it really bothered my mom?'” Pam recalled.
“Why bring something up from 20 years ago that you know f-ed people up,” Anderson’s son Dylan said in the film.
“The worst part of his life and making a semi-comedy out of it; [it] It doesn’t make sense.”
Many people have applauded Pam’s sons for staying mum, including many other ’90s icons who have remained in the tabloids.
We talk of course about Britney Spears, who praised doc Pam, and noted that the two seem to have a lot of bad things in common.
“I really appreciate the fact that her children are standing up for her in relation to the fact that people are trying to sell her stories from the past!!!” Spears wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“Referring to the subject of embarrassment sold on comedy TV comparisons…he’s right!!!”
Britney notes that she has been the subject of several recent documentaries, and that she has no one to fall back on like Pam’s children.
In fact, Britney’s son criticized her parenting and her Instagram content!
“With 4 documentaries released about me last year with people I love talking about my past!!!” he wrote.
“This is almost as hard as what I’ve done in the past!!!”
The Brit continues to bemoan the lack of privacy she has endured over the years, and in a shocking revelation, she admitted to a “secret relationship” when she was 25, which she described as a way of “rebelling”.
“It’s not true that my father claimed he was ME and took over 15 years of my life!!!” Spears wrote.
From there, Brit once again addressed his brother Bryan’s claim that his conservatorship was good for his family:
“I’m sure this…gives me a lot of work when they hold a MEETING!!!” he wrote.
From there, Britney once again talked about Pam’s documentary, saying that it shows “that people should support you exactly where you are at the moment of your life … unless cruelty rules the world ???”
From there, she wonders if her family feels “WAAAAY better about themselves for shaming me and telling me about my past???”
We’re Ms. Spears noticed that bullies like her father rarely feel better about themselves after abusing their victims – but they still do it.
Maybe one day Britney will tell her story in her own documentary, like Pamela did.
