
Cory has found Topanga! Boy Meets World alum Ben Savage apparently announced that he and his girlfriend Tessa Angermeier are engaged after a year of dating.
“The best is yet to come,” Savage, 42, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, January 11, alongside a photo of her and Angermeier. The post, which features the couple in front of a lake in Indiana, shows a diamond ring on Angermeier’s left ring finger.
While the former child star didn’t specify if he had asked the question, friends and family took to the comments section to congratulate him.

Ben has been a little low-key about his personal life, but he has previously shared photos of himself and his love through social media over the years, with the first post of the couple dating back to October 2018. (Angermeier, for his part, keeps his Instagram account private.)
In December 2022, the two celebrated the holiday together. “This season,” Ben captioned a selfie of the couple buying a Christmas tree. “I hope you have the happiest Christmas ever,” he wrote along with a second two weeks later.
At Little giant The star first came into the limelight in 1993 as Cory Matthews on ABC Boy Meets World. When the show ended after 7 seasons, he reprized his role in the next spin-off, Girl meets the world14 years later.
After the Disney Channel show wrapped in January 2017, the former Illinois native costars, Danielle Fishel, Strong Rider and Will Friedlewhich portrays Topanga Lawrence, Shawn Hunter and Eric Matthews, each announced that they will host a rewatch podcast titled “Pod Meets World.”
When Ben was originally part of the project, his former colleagues only told him Us Weekly in July 2022 the actor finally passed on the idea.
“We’ve been talking about this podcast since 2019, it was Rider’s idea. When it was brought up, we talked about it all, the four of us. It’s something we all went back and mentioned. What’s the best way to do it because before there was ‘Office Ladies .’ Before it was a genre of its own,” said Fishel, 41. “And we talked about all the ways we could do it. And at the end of our conversation, Ben said, ‘I just don’t think it’s for me.’ And we get it. So we respect his decision. And if he eventually wants to come, we’ll open that door.
After the Daze Hostel actress revealed that Ben told the trio to “have fun” but “right now, not for me,” Friedle, 45, added: “I hope he wants to come.”
Despite not joining the podcast, the Wild Palms exclusive alum shared with us in February 2022 that is ready to return if the powers that ever want to expand Boy Meets World universe again.
“I’ve learned enough to know that you never know what can happen in this business,” he said. “Every day is a roller coaster, and it’s always fun. So, I say never say never.”
