The fraudster was arrested at the airport

Last week, police stationed at OR Tambo International Airport arrested a 54-year-old woman who had evaded police arrest for five years.

The Limpopo Police confirmed that the woman is wanted for several cases of fraud and theft under false pretenses after being on the run since 2017. They were alerted about her return to South Africa from Nigeria where she fled and assaulted her when she arrived in Johannesburg.

“The suspect allegedly ran a Bogus School of Nursing and fraudulently enrolled unsuspecting students under the pretext that they would obtain nursing degrees.

Victims are also guaranteed employment across the province after completing their studies. The fraudulent relationship of the suspect was not uncovered when it was finally discovered that the college was not genuine,” Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said.
