A fashion icon! Beyoncé is the covering star of French VogueApril 2023 edition and designed 16 Renaissance– inspired outfits.

The magazine took to Instagram on Friday, March 24, to share the exciting news. In the black and white photo, the “Cuff It” singer, 41, looks radiant in a bodycon dress, complete with a matching cover-up. She smiled with her eyes closed as she leaned against the fashion designer Olivier Rousteing. He hugged the Grammy Award winner and kissed him on the cheek.

“The cover star of our April issue, Beyoncé, who designed the Balmain haute couture collection, with her friend, the designer,” the company captioned.

The “Crazy In Love” singer was quoted in the caption: “Olivier is a dream partner and a designer who is constantly innovating and developing. Everything he has done as a black designer to open doors has been a source of inspiration… I am very proud of what he has created , and the synergy formed between our teams.

In a press release, Rousteing added, “Beginning in September, Beyoncé, stylist Marni Senofonte, the Balmain design team and I teamed up for five months … then turned it into a real couture creation.

He continued, “From the beginning, we knew that this collaboration would be different from the others we have worked on before… Together, we created this unique collection of clothing, with each silhouette directly inspired by certain Renaissance composition.”

RENAISSANCE Couture by Beyoncé x Balmain

The extravagant collection includes everything from silver ensembles and catsuits to embroidered dresses.

Perhaps one of the most electrifying looks from the collection was inspired by an illusion chandelier. The model looked stunning in a velvet bodysuit, finished off with gloves and a turban featuring brass and crystal pendants. The outfit is completed with matching earrings, shoulder pads and strappy shoes.

Beyoncé also shared the news on social media: “Thank you @olivier_rousteing and @balmain for bringing it RENAISSANCE to live in couture. Designing with you is liberating—thank you for allowing me to celebrate the human form, take artistic risks, push boundaries and express myself freely.

Fans were quick to support the design in their comments section. One wrote, “Too shocked for words.” A second added, “Incredible,” and further praised, “This is iconiccccc.”
