It was a beautiful day in St. Lucia – the sun was shining, the sea was clear, and Captain Lee is back where he belongs! In this episode of Below DeckCaptain Lee fought against a strong wind, and Ben it’s a war of urges to completely forget about Camilla now that Leigh-Annnew stew, on board…
chef Rachel happy to be reunited with Captain Lee, and he was even emotional to see him. Everything seems to fall into place when the provisions arrive, and the crew is off to the races to prepare for the new guests.
Leigh-Ann shares with Hayley she has matched on Tinder with Ben, which only makes the plot thicker and more sinister – just how we like it. Hayley fills Leigh-Ann in on Ben’s current “relationship” status (hi, Camille!), and Leigh-Ann is a little disappointed to hear that Ben might be off limits. Bummer … just when they actually meet people, too!
According to the preference sheet, this group of guests seemed a bit demanding, and Fraser was sweating from his new stew experience, as he’s been presiding over the stew for longer than he’s had #powerstruggle. There wasn’t much time to worry as Captain Lee called a meeting to thank the (remaining) crew members for sticking it out in his absence.
New guests, aka “frat boys,” accordingly Katie, here’s to a good time. Fraser took them on a tour of the grandiose boat, and Captain Lee thrived behind the wheel. Rachel calls these guests crazy, considering they have high expectations for a seafood extravaganza, cocktail pairings, and steel drums. Leigh-Ann was thrown right into the back because she was assigned to be the bartender for this event. Trying to pair what Rachel was cooking with the drinks was terrifying, but she hoped she could fake it until she made it.
Ben talks to Katie about the current awkward situation while Leigh-Ann is on board. I mean, he had a picture of this girl on his phone, but he never in a million years thought he’d meet her IRL! It’s *safe* to flirt over the phone, but now that Leigh-Ann is here, it makes things complicated. Ben thinks he’ll tell Leigh-Ann that he’s seeing someone else, but when you’re close to someone you’re in a relationship with, things can get dangerous.
Guests sit down to eat seafood filled with a variety of foods. Fraser warned that he would drink a lot of liquor, but then he was on the water after the meal. First, are they digested? Next, aren’t they drunk?! S.O.S.
Leigh-Ann asks to be filled in on the crew’s juice part, but we all know she wants to know Ben’s status. Ben tells Leigh-Ann about Camille, and Leigh-Ann asks Ben, “Are you sad she’s gone?” To that, Ben told him yes. I’m with Tony – definitely too much sexual tension between the two for anything to happen…
Captain Lee attends dinner with a drunken guest, and Rachel enjoys “knocking her socks off.” Did you know you can’t have bananas on a boat? Also, do you know how drunk a guest named Angel gets, the ruder he gets every minute? Stews has been with him and has been jokingly nicknamed Satan instead of his real name, Angel.
Everyone was scratching their heads trying to manage sleep in this group. Even Fraser was confused to hear that the main one was sharing the cabin with his sister-in-law… who, it turns out, was not his sister-in-law, but his wife’s good friend. You know, the same husband can’t travel because he has to stay at home and watch the kids. That looks a bit fishy, doesn’t it?
In other news, Katie thinks her relationship with Ross is getting more serious, while Ross just likes sex. Go figure.
As the night wears on, the guests enjoy more and more drinks, and Ben is stuck in the late-night shift with Leigh-Ann. interesting. After a loooong night, the crew is finally able to crash, but not before Ben sends Leigh-Ann a text saying, “Ahoy. So glad to finally see you.” Is this the yachty version of, “You’re up?” Looks like they’ll forget about Camille during the last few charters…
the next morning, Ross discussing the beach picnic the guests had requested, except the wind made the situation very difficult. The guests slowly made their way out of their seats and were a little thirsty, which was no surprise since it was late to drink.
Fraser finally learned how to “lead and delegate,” and then decided to send Leigh-Ann to set up a beach picnic. Leigh-Ann feels Fraser is just trying to challenge her because she didn’t send the canopy to the beach. Fraser suggests that Leigh-Ann get “creative”, which is a thin dig, but the canopy appears on the beach before the guests arrive.
While working on a beach picnic, Katie becomes frustrated with Ben’s behavior towards Leigh-Ann. He felt dishonest with Camille. Looks like he needs to start sharing more of himself.
Back on the boat, we learn a little about Hayley’s girlfriend, and learn more about Tyler’s background. He calls his father without emotion and states that he is very traditional in his mind. Translation: He asks Tyler if he has a girlfriend, a topic his father hasn’t discussed yet.
Captain Lee felt like the crew was “cohesive” and everyone was well known. He gave them props Captain Sandy to hold it down while he gets better.
Despite the wind, the beach picnic looked great. Guests play game after game, and Ben continues to flirt with Leigh-Ann back on board, even though he calls Camille “babe” and wants to go to the Dominican Republic with her.
Leigh-Ann explained that she had been talking to Ben for over a year and let the audience know that she is the type of girl who goes after what she wants. Watch out, Camille! Ben refers to Leigh-Ann as “another tease” and promises her to have fun tomorrow night when they’re off. Leigh-Ann warns that Ben is more ready, considering her all in, and it looks like nothing, not even Camille can stop her.
