Camille was the first to be fired Below Deck season 10 after being accused of not doing the job and showing disrespect. Not long after, Sandy spewed a second boil Alyssa Humberwho faces similar charges
After Camille’s termination, Sandy called Lee – who was temporarily replaced to recover from health problems – to tell her about the shooting. When the episode aired, Lee took to Twitter and blamed Sandy for not telling her earlier. In a series of posts, the 73-year-old suggested Sandy was disrespectful, and expressed his disappointment in the decision, although he admitted the dismissal was necessary.
On the “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast, the host asked Captain Sandy about her recent drama with Lee.
He said the “last thing” he wanted was to call Captain Lee while he was still in the hospital.
“I don’t need permission to fire anyone,” Sandy said. “I have entered as a captain. I am responsible for his life.”
According to Sandy, he “called after” the shooting as “polite”.
“It’s a polite call,” Sandy said. “Should I do that? Not.”
In a previous interview for SiriusXM Reality CheckedSandy shows a desire to take the high road.
“When they go down, we go up high,” she said. “I said to Lee, I’m like ‘Torturing the sick,’ right? So, I don’t know. I never hurt them, but I think when you spit things out like that, it’s like it’s inside, and i feel bad for that guy.
Sandy added, “He certainly doesn’t act his age.”
