During a recent episode of Below Deck, which aired on Monday, February 27, the Michigan native, 73, returned to the boat after taking a short break for health reasons. Lee asked Sandy, 57, to fill in what he missed — after the Florida native previously told him about it Camille Lambdepart.
“So, some changes, Under [Humber] it’s gone because of insubordination,” Sandy told Lee after he let out a boil over his rude behavior.
Respond, OG Below Deck star applauded Sandy for his decision. “He did the right thing. If he had to go, he had to go,” he said in the confession. I can’t express how much I appreciate it [her filling in for me]. And maybe one day, I will return to him.
Lee’s praise came after he recently questioned why he was not alerted to staff changes in his absence.
“So, I found out after he fired one of his crew, not before. okay?” she tweeted in January after Camille’s departure aired.[Camille] deserved what he got. That has never been my problem. So many people can’t see it, and I’m sorry. I don’t want to [Sandy] ask for permission, just want to update, quick call you mentioned, polite.”
He added: “He did it on TV in front of a lot of people who didn’t have it [SIC] consult with me. It doesn’t sound very personal to me.
At the time, Sandy explained that she was in charge during season 10 in the midst of Lee’s exit. “He is in the hospital. Who will call and say, ‘Can I fire Camille?’ Never in a million years would I have done it,” he explained on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked earlier this month. “But what I did was call him up and say, ‘By the way, I fired him. You almost had a mutiny on the boat because of him.’”
According to Be Calm or Be Stormy author, Lee is “definitely not acting” age with his social media comments.
I called him and said, ‘Go back to your boat.’ Because I have a girlfriend who is going to have surgery. Like, I didn’t walk in there to take over the show,” Sandy added at the time. “I don’t want two shows. I love the Mediterranean. Are you kidding me? I love the Mediterranean.
In the middle of the drama, Us Weekly broke the news that Lee will leave the franchise after season 10. The Bravo star, who joined the hit series in 2013, will be replaced by Below Deck Adventure‘s Captain Kerry for season 11. We also confirmed that the new season is being filmed in Grenada.
