Pull out all the stops! Kate Chastain has candidly discussed her journey to becoming a mother – and the challenges that come with expecting her first child.
In December 2022, the Below Deck alum confirms that she is pregnant. โI feel very good. I feel really excited,” he said exclusively Us Weekly while promoting her participation in a new reality TV show. “I knew when Traitors was coming out that I would be doing a lot of interviews and I might not be able to hide much longer, so it was a surprise!”
While Chastain offered a glimpse of her pregnancy, she admitted that she didn’t give away all the details. “I save that a little bit,” he told Andy Cohen during the interview Watch What Happens Live the same month, revealing the gender of the baby.
The former head of the boil then said he was feeling “good” amid the life change. “Honestly, I like to sleep and I’m also lazy and selfish, so I think it’s an adjustment,” he joked in an interview with AND! News in December 2022. “But I just think that if I love this child like I love a dog, everything will be fine, and people believe that I will.”
That same month, Chastain’s former co-worker Captain Lee Rosbach weighed with the news of pregnancy.
“I couldn’t be more excited for her. I have no doubt she will be a great mother,” he told People. “He takes on a big challenge, but it’s more than that. And I’ve never seen him so happy.
According to the captain, he’s willing to help with almost anything, adding, “I don’t make diapers. I’ll do a lot of things, but diapers aren’t one of them.
Chastain’s announcement comes more than two years after she came out of Below Deck. (The reality star was previously on the hit Bravo series from season 2 to season 7.)
“After months of internal reflection and discussion, I chose to make a transition this year to start carving out a new, progressive land-based role,” he wrote via Instagram in February 2020, jokingly referring to it.
