Bayern cruised past PSG to reach the quarter-finals
Bayern Munich reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they sent Paris St-Germain into the last 16.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting swept home just after the hour mark for the hosts against his former club, with Serge Gnabry adding gloss to the last professional display.
The six-time European champions had started the evening nervously defending their one-goal first-leg lead and keeping the dual threat posed by Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi at bay.
However, when PSG’s star forward line sporadically threatened early on, there was no time or space to break down a disciplined and efficient Bayern side, who won 3-0 on aggregate.
The draw for the last eight of the competition took place on March 17 in Nyon, Switzerland.
