BAFI Awards: PremiumTrust Bank bags double honours | The Guardian Nigeria News

In another demonstration of the bank’s rising profile, Nigeria’s fast-growing lender, PremiumTrust Bank, received the “Fastest Growing Bank in Nigeria 2022” and “Bank of The Year 2022 (Sports Development)” awards from BusinessDay Bank Management & Financial Institutions Other (BAFI) Award Committee.

In a brief but colorful ceremony, BAFI Awards Management noted that PremiumTrust which started operations in April 2022, won the award “Nigeria’s Fastest Growing Bank 2022” in recognition of its record-breaking achievement, opening 7 major branches in the first five months. with verifiable month-on-month growth in key measurement indexes; The bank has also been able to equip brick and mortar with digital innovation and channeled offerings in providing financial services to all its discerning customers, although there are only 9 months.

On the other hand, the BAFI Bank of the Year 2022 Award (Sports Development) for PremiumTrust Bank comes with a deliberate effort to continuously promote Sports and Youth Development in Nigeria.

Commenting on the award at the Bank’s Lagos office, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Emmanuel Emefienim, expressed his happiness over the recognition while stating that the award will motivate the Bank to continue to excel at the highest level.

“We’re excited that all the good work we’ve done over the past few months is beginning to yield positive results.”

Firstly, “The BAFI Fastest Growing Bank 2022 award will be a tonic to ensure that we continue on the path of growth, pushing for branch expansion but with a greater focus on digital deployment as we strive to become one of the leading digital Banks in Nigeria in the coming years .”

Second, “The BAFI Bank of The Year 2022 Award (Sports Development) is a recognition of our commitment and deliberate investment in Sports & Youth Development. In 2022, we are the Main Sponsor / Sole Banker to the 21st National Sports Festival; we are co-sponsors and kitted Bayelsa Queens FC who represented Nigeria in the CAF Women’s Champions League Competition in Morocco, where they returned with a Bronze Medal; PremiumTrust also signed two world-class Athletes, Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume as Brand Ambassadors; this was done to encourage, provide training funds to able to compete and excel in our chosen fields and do more for our Country – Nigeria. This is in addition to our 3 year partnership agreement with the Nigerian Athletics Federation. All these make us worthy winners of the 2022 Bank of The Year Award (Sports Development) .

Mr. Emefienim stressed that the Bank is encouraged to do more in Sports Development and Youth Empowerment in the coming years.

Also commenting on the recognition, the Managing Director, BusinessDay Media Limited, Mr. Ogho Okiti appreciated the efforts of PremiumTrust Bank to generate impressive results in all indices despite the few months, noting that the Bank’s positive records and achievements are proof of hard work and efforts which was done before the Bank was established.

The BAFI Awards are supported by the BusinessDay Research and Intelligence Unit (BRIU) and nominations for the awards are the culmination of a rigorous review process.

BRIU and a panel of independent judges evaluated more than 250 institutions and benchmarked them against global peers using several indices in a comprehensive evaluation process and nominees were assessed for their vision, execution, and market-leading proposition. They consider factors such as company values, integrity, workplace culture, gender balance, and other human issues.

The BAFI award categories span banking, insurance, capital markets, investment, pension funds, trustees, registrars, stockbrokers, and private equity.
