MANILA, Philippines – Kiefer Ravena and Shiga Lakes suffered back-to-back losses to Kawasaki Brave Thunders, 79-69, in the 2022-23 B.League season on Saturday at Todoroki Arena.

Breakthrough wins over brothers Thirdy and San-En last week to end an 18-game skid, Ravena and Lakes have lost two straight this week as they fall to a league-worst 5-33 record.

Ravena scored 15 points, shooting 3-of-6 from deep in 26 minutes of play.

Shiga lost 87-77 to Kawasaki on Saturday.

Nick Fazekas led the Brave Thunders with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists, while Michael Young Jr. added 15 points off the bench to improve his record to 23-15.

Meanwhile, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. scored 21 points, five rebounds, and two steals but the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins fell to the Chiba Jets, 96-73, at the Funabashi Arena.

Parks’ stellar play came to naught as Nagoya saw its two-game winning streak thrown away and fell to a 27-10 record.

Thirdy Ravenna and San-En NeoPhoenix also suffered tough losses, defeating the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 82-75, at the Hamamatsu Arena.

The younger Ravena produced 12 points, two rebounds and two assists, but he could not save the team from its second straight loss and a 16-21 card.

Ryukyu, who continue to wait for Filipino import Carl Tamayo, won their fifth straight with former PBA import Allen Durham leading the way with 17 points, six assists, and five rebounds to improve their record to 28-9.

Dwight Ramos was limited to just two points, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal as Levanga Hokkaido was dominated by Utsonomiya Brex, 101-73, at Brex Arena.

Ramos and Hokkaido absorb their third straight loss, falling to 8-29.

Matthew Wright also struggled with just two points on 2-of-12 shooting but had six rebounds and two assists as the Kyoto Hannaryz (14-23) lost 81-68 to Osaka Evassa at Kyoto City Gymnasium.
