Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left out of Chelsea’s squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League with new signings Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix all included.

Gabon forward Aubameyang, 33, started all six of the Blues’ group games, scoring two goals.

However, he began to fall out of favor and was eventually named in Graham Potter’s starting XI on 6 November.

French defender Benoit Badiashile, a £35m January signing, also misses out.

England Under-21 winger Noni Madueke, a recent £30.7m acquisition from PSV Eindhoven and fellow newcomers Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana are also excluded.

However, Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech, whose proposed loan move to Paris St-Germain fell through, remains in Potter’s squad, with the club only allowed to sign a maximum of three new players for the remaining games in the competition this season.

Chelsea spent an English record 121m euros (£107m) transfer fee to secure the services of Argentine World Cup winner Fernandez from Benfica.

Mudryk’s arrival at Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth up to £89m comes shortly after the club signed Portugal striker Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea travel to German club Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the last 16 on Wednesday, February 15.

Cody Gakpo, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all been added to Liverpool’s squad, with Jurgen Klopp’s side due to play Real Madrid in a repeat of last season’s final, with the first leg at Anfield on Tuesday, February 21 (20:00 GMT).

Argentina midfielder Maximo Perrone has been included in Manchester City’s squad for the match against RB Leipzig, replacing Portugal defender Joao Cancelo, who was named in Bayern Munich’s squad after moving there on loan.

Tottenham have included loan players Arnaut Danjuma and Pedro Porro in the squad, although Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been omitted by AC Milan, who face Spurs in the last 16, with the first leg at San Siro on February 14 (20:00).

Ibrahimovic, 41, has not featured for the Italian champions this season following knee surgery last summer after helping the club to their first Scudetto in 11 years.
