Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that key players Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus are in good condition ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Leicester City.
Mikel Arteta will have to do without Thomas Partey for the last two matches against Man City and Aston Villa as the Ghana International picked up a muscle injury last week.

Thomas Partey could be available for Arsenal’s match against Leicester
In the case of Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian has not played for Arsenal since the Premier League resumed after the World Cup in Qatar where he suffered a knee injury while playing for Brazil.
Eddie Nketiah stepped up in Jesus’ absence as Arsenal failed to add another striker in the January window.
Although summer acquisition Jorginho has filled the void left by Partey’s absence, the Ghanaian midfielder’s return will be a welcome boost for Arteta as Arsenal prepare for a tough test against Leicester this weekend.
Arteta provides injury update
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Arteta provided an update on the fitness of Partey and Jesus. He said:
“Not much has changed [regarding injuries in the squad]. “Question mark on Thomas [Partey], he hasn’t trained much but it looks like he could be available. Let’s see how he is now, we’ve missed him in the past few games and hopefully he’ll be back.
“For Gabriel Jesus, he is progressing well,” Arteta said. “Doing more on the field, the knee is not reacting – so positive. We want him to return as soon as possible but respect the timeline from the doctor.”

Jesus’ return will boost Arsenal’s Premier League title ambitions and give Mikel Arteta the chance to play up front during his busy schedule.
