Arsenal’s Premier League title ambitions received a boost on Saturday as the Gunners rallied from two goals down to beat AFC Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Bournemouth have lost all of their games against The Gunners in their last six visits to North London and many are predicting another victory for Arsenal’s title-chasing side.
But the game went off script as Arsenal conceded the second fastest goal in Premier League history after Philips Billings scored nine seconds after kickoff.
While it was expected that Mikel Arteta’s men would dust off their shaky start and enter the game, the first half ended 1-0 to the visitors. Arsenal’s poor first half took a turn for the worse when in the 57th minute Marco Senesi doubled Bournemouth’s lead.
However, five minutes after conceding the second goal, Thomas Partey reduced the deficit to 2-1.
In the 70th minute Ben White came good for Arsenal with the equalizer as the momentum swings for the Gunners.
Now faced with getting the crucial winning goal that would secure the coveted three points, Arsenal laughed and laughed but there was no way.
Just when many thought the spoils would be shared, Ries Nelson popped up with the winner seven minutes after added time and Arsenal were 3-2 up.

With maximum points, Arsenal remain five points ahead of Manchester City who had beaten Newcastle United 2-0 earlier in the day.
The Gunners have 63 points, the Cityzens have 58 points after playing 26 games.
Misery for the London team
Apart from Arsenal who managed to secure victory at home, all the other London teams except Chelsea had disappointing results in their respective matches in the Premier League on Saturday.
While West Ham were hammered 4-0 by high-flying Brighton, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur both suffered back-to-back defeats against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton respectively.
For Chelsea, it ended with a single goal victory against Leeds United.
Wesley Fofana got the all-important goal for the Blues who are still languishing in 10th place with 34 points from 25 games.
