Leko Gambo of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared the winner for the Dass/Bogoro/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency seat in Bauchi State.
The INEC Returning Officer, Bala Dalhat of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, announced the results in Bununu, the headquarters of Tafawa Balewa Local Government in the state.
He said Mr. Gambo got 54,128 votes to defeat his nearest competitor, Magaji Kefas of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who got 52,314 votes.
The returning officer said Quni Simon of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) got 5,662 votes.
Also, INEC has declared Kabiru Alhaji of APC winner for the Alkaleri/Kirfi Federal Constituency election.
While announcing the results, the Returning Officer, Surajudden Abdulsalam said the APC candidate got 32,257 votes against the 29,713 voted by Umar Desu of the PDP.
While Mohammed Danjuma of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) got 2,934 votes.
“I hereby declare that I am the returning officer for the 2023 Alkaleri/Kirfi Federal Constituency election held on February 25, 2023.

“The election was contested and Kabiru Alhaji of the APC, having met the legal requirements, is hereby declared the winner and re-elected,” he said.
