The APC in Plateau has suspended its campaign tour for three days, in honor of some PDP supporters who were killed in an auto accident on the Panyam -Pankshin road in the state.

This was in a statement by the APC Governor Candidate, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda through the spokesperson for the Generation Next Campaign Council, Shittu Bamayi, on Sunday in Jos.

He said that when he received the news of the accident, he immediately accelerated his engagement tour in the southern part of the country.

Yilwatda said the postponement was necessary to allow him and his party members to join the PDP, the governorship candidate and the families of the deceased to mourn the victims of the accident.

Candidates in the company of campaign councilors, visited accident victims at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).

The APC governorship aspirant who was taken to the ward by one of the medical officers, Dr Peter Onumiyan, prayed for a speedy recovery.

He sympathizes with the families who have lost their loved ones and prays that such an accident will not happen again.

It should be recalled that 13 people have been confirmed dead, following a truck accident on Saturday on the Pushit – Panyam road after the PDP zonal campaign rally in Pankshin.

A statement by the Director,

Media and Publicity, Atiku-Okowa, Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Council, Mr. Yiljap Abraham said all the injured are stable and responding to treatment including two critical cases on Saturday.

According to him, JUTH currently manages 24 cases; Nisi Domino Hospital in Mangu 20 cases; Infinite Hospital, Mangu eight cases; Pondok Mangu Hospital four cases; Panyam Clinic eight cases.

He said that a total of 64 patients are being treated at the health facility.
