Fauci, who resigned from his post at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in December, responded to Musk as also as apart GOP official who has followed him.
“Sue me for what? What did he say?” Fauci asked.
“I wish I could figure out what he was talking about, I thought he was just going to stop.”
Fauci continued that it was pointless to say things like Musk’s tweets and called the comments irresponsible.
“Of course it will have a difficult effect and a devastating effect on my family. They don’t like that I am always threatened with death,” he said.
