Another minister resigned from the Akufo-Addo government; Dan Botwe for action


President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation of another Minister from his government.

The Minister of Leadership and Religious Affairs, Ebenezer Kojo Kum, is reported to have resigned on Friday, February 3.

President Akufo-Addo was said to thank him for his service to the government and the country, with the hope that he will continue to do so in the future.

Mr. Kojo Kum, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West Constituency, was unable to do so last year.

He recently held a thanksgiving service in his constituency for regaining his strength and health following his reported death.

“The President has asked the Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Dan Botwe, MP, to be a temporary Minister in the Ministry of Leadership and Religious Affairs until a substantive replacement is made,” said a statement issued by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin.
