Anna Kendrick Reveals She Created Embryos With “Toxic” Ex Who Was In Love With Someone Else

Despite being one of the most successful actresses of her generation, Anna Kendrick has managed to keep a low profile about her personal life.

In fact, over the course of her 20 or so years in the spotlight, Kendrick has avoided making any sort of public comment on her family or relationship status.

So fans were shocked when the 37-year-old opened up about her recent heartbreak while appearing on Dax Shepard’s podcast.

Kendrick began his unexpected revelation by referring to a life partner he had been dating for several years.

“I’m with someone — this is someone I live with, for all intents and purposes my husband. We have an embryo together, this is my person,'” she told Shepard.

“I remember telling my brother, when it first went down, ‘I’m living with a stranger. Like, I don’t know what’s going on,'” Kendrick continued.

“It’s not just ‘Oh, I lost a relationship.’ That’s what I believe if we break up or, you know, if he leaves the base, it’s a confirmation that because I’m impossible, I’m lucky he’s even tolerating my bulls-t.

Kendrick said the end of the relationship forced her to think about insecurities and self-esteem issues she had avoided for years.

“There’s something I can’t deny because someone who loved me so much for six years, suddenly it happened to him, how am I or something,” he said.

“Shame, that lingers longer.”

Kendrick said he began meditating and attending meetings for Al-Anon, an organization for people affected by the alcoholism of others.

“I started going to Al-Anon when all this happened,” he said.

“I mean, look, I really ruined my life, and at first it was a reaction to the accusation that I was crazy, and I was the one who caused the problem,” added Anna.

It was also during that time that Anna decided to take a break from the limelight and focus on her mental health.

“So I talked to CAA, my agency and they said I need to take a break, I have mental health issues,” he told Shepard.

“I started seeing two therapists a week and I started learning to meditate and I joined Al-Anon,” Kendrick shared.

“And this whole thing ended up being a really good thing for me in the long run, but in the beginning I thought, ‘Tell me how not to be crazy. Tell me how not to feel anything.'”

Kendrick briefly dated Bill Hader in 2021, but it seems like she’s referring to a previous relationship here.

We wish her all the best in her continued recovery, and we look to see what her career has in store.
