As previously reported, Anna Duggar brought many of her children to visit her father in prison last week.
Based on the new allegations, we now have to wonder:
Did he ask her to say goodbye?
The father of seven was convicted in December 2021 for downloading material with sexual images of children under the age of 12; we are talking about photos and videos of these children in a compromising position, often abused and assaultd.
It’s disgusting and despicable.
He was later sentenced in May to more than ten years in federal prison.
Anna has said nothing in public since her pedophile husband was found guilty of this crime, although sources have consistently claimed that she plans to remain on the sidelines.
Did he have a change of heart and/or mind, though?
According to In Touch Weekly, Duggar is “praying” about the “future” of her marriage to Josh — and remains open to the possibility that it may not be saved.
“Anna is still asking a lot about the future,” says this family insider.
“She takes her wedding vows seriously and she wants to stand by her husband and everything, but the reality is that things are very difficult.”
The source added that the 34-year-old is “trying to stay positive, but it’s not easy.”
Not. We would never imagine.
Not after your husband has admitted cheating on you with a woman he met on the Internet. Not after he admitted to abusing his own sister when he was younger. Not after a jury of his peers determined he had committed a child sex crime.
Nothing is easy for Anna.
Is Anna still in the relationship because she believes her husband is innocent? Because he has been threatened by his father-in-law? Because his religious beliefs forced him to keep his vows?
No one knows.
There are seven young men and women (Mackynzie, Maryella, Marcus, Mason, Michael, Meredith and Madyson) in the middle of this mess, though.
In Touch reports that Anna “wants Josh by her side, as a husband and as a father to her children,” but it’s just “not physically possible for now, or in the future.”
“Ten years behind bars feels like a lifetime to him,” an insider said.
Josh is still in the middle of appealing his case… while Anna has allegedly received counseling from “leaders in the church” about her options when it comes to marriage.
“Divorce isn’t something she wants, but she’d be lying if she said she didn’t question her future with Josh,” the source told In Touch.
“Anna is married to Josh for better or for worse and it won’t get any worse than this.”
