There are some pairs that are so random that they actually sort of make perfect sense.
Take, for example, Angelina Pivarnick and Jay Cutler.
He’s a reality star with a history of annoying his teammates, and he’s a former NFL quarterback known for annoying fans.
Other than their abrasive attitude, they don’t seem to have everything in common – but maybe that’s exactly why Angelina decided to take her shot.
Yes, in last night’s episode of Jersey Shore DistrictAngeliners slid into Cutler’s DMs, and responded rather quickly.
Until now, the new season of coast has centered around Mike’s participation in the upcoming cornhole tournament.
(It’s hard to keep things interesting when your cast is made up of gorgeous 40-year-olds, y’all!)
And Angelina said she was messaging Cutler to get inside his head and psyche him out as a favor to Mike.

“So I started private messaging … just trying to help Mike,” Pivarnick explained to Snooki at one point.
“My full intention was to help Mike in any way I could,” she said in the confessional.
“DMing these guys and getting their minds, with a smart strategy, is perfect. You always want to disrupt your opponent. I’ll be the disruptor, that’s my strategy.”

Angelina then reveals that in addition to Cutler’s messaging, she has been in contact with every man Mike will be competing against in the cornhole tournament.
The Sitch certainly doesn’t like his co-star’s attempts at psychological warfare.
“What the hell?!” Mike is heard saying as he learns of Pivarnick’s strange strategy.

“I don’t appreciate the Angeliners DMing Jay Cutler,” he added in the confessional.
“It kind of lowered my game, knowing that one of the other competitors was talking trash.”
Yes, it seems that Angelina’s technique has the opposite of the desired effect, as Cutler said that Mike will make “early out” of the tournament wound up psyching the situation out.

“Now I know this person said st to you, it gets in the head a little.”
Now, it seems obvious that Angelina’s message from Cutler had nothing to do with Mike – especially with how Sitch antagonized Pivarnick last season.
But Mike seemed to buy his housemate’s explanation.

“Angelina, what are you doing?! Talking trash to the enemy is a distraction. This is messed up, Ange!” he announced later in the episode.
“Angelina’s way of doing things is not as good as it used to be,” he said to the camera. “It’s very on brand and I don’t appreciate it. It’s the opposite of support.
Fortunately, some of Sitch’s friends realized that Angelina had indeed made them the most popular group of cornholes in the tournament.
“I’m here for gangbang,” Pauly joked, referencing the cinematic classic Old school.

“Who will score more in this tournament, Mike or Angelina?” Vinny asked.
Elsewhere in the episode, a random bar patron accuses Ange of trying to steal her boyfriend.
The alleged robbery happened while Angelina was still married to Chris Larangeira.

“He tried to get my girlfriend while she was with Chris,” the woman told JWoww.
“Sorry, I don’t like him. Told Angelina, ‘You want to stay, get your f—ing ass beat,'”
“My energy will not be touched or destroyed by someone under my shoes,” Angelina said incredulously.
Looks like we’re in for another season of badass Angeliners drama – and we couldn’t be happier!
