Andy Cohen welcome Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to his SiriusXM radio show on Friday, where he explained why he was against the idea of him joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Followed by the year back and mentioned between Watch What Happens Live host, 54, and in Jersey Shore District star, 35, Andy admitted that he was not used to spark a feud with Snooki when he rejected suggestions to cast her in the long-running Bravo reality show.
“Now me and Snooki are in a public fight that I don’t want because I don’t want to fight with you, Snooki,” he said. Andy Cohen Live on January 23, via PEOPLE.
“Not me. You’re just being a little sarcastic so I have to come back,” Snooki replied.
Looking back, Andy said, “I said, ‘I don’t see it.’ right. I was like, ‘I don’t see everything. ever.’ Now I say: I see you like, one of the faces of MTV and the face of Jersey Shore District. And to me, it’s like putting Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Very different. You know what I don’t want?”
According to Snooki, she’s “not mad” at Andy right now, but she doesn’t like the tone he used when discussing the matter. In fact, when you look at it All Icons podcast in January last year, he described her as “aggressive” and said she needed to “calm down”.
“I just don’t like being a little kid, ‘Nah, I’m good,'” Snooki told Andy on Monday.
“That’s where I took it too far,” he agreed.
“My body is fine. I love you,” Snooki confirmed as Andy added that the two “were not at war.
As fans may recall, Andy directed a “fake war” with Snooki WWHL in June as a friend, Joey Camastabecome a bartender.
“I’m in a fake fight with Snooki that’s not real. I’m in love with Snooki, okay?” Andy told Joey. “I feel like people keep trying to tear her down and support her, and then there’s the issue where she and I are in a fight. Can you tell I love Snooki?”
“That’s all he can tell Jersey Shore District and MTV. He created an MTV reality show. So in my mind, I just think it’s like putting on the Kardashians, it’s like another unrelated show,” he added. “It’s like two different worlds. That’s my only thing. Nothing personal.”
Snooki also took to the topic on Instagram, telling fans, “Idk how this started, but I haven’t been asked to be a housewife.”
