Andy Cohen explained why he screamed Larsa Pippen during the season five reunions of Real Housewives of Miami.
During the taping, Andy took to social media and publicly apologized for yelling at Larsa, though he remained a mystery until the episode aired.
On Andy’s Radio show, the host revealed why he yelled at Larsa’s “a-hole” during the reunion taping.
Even though Andy isn’t usually the “editor” in the middle of a reunion, he sees red when Larsa “seems to weaponize” his castmate. Dr. Nicole MartinHis child was “born out of wedlock.”
“Like, he said, ‘I can call out that your son was born out of wedlock,'” Andy clarified. “Now, if you say, ‘I can use anything as a weapon,’ you always do.'”
Andy, who is single and received a son and a daughter through a surrogate, explains that “a little bit of semantics” is at play in the question between Larsa and Nicole.
“Nicole kept saying, ‘You called my son a bastard, and [Larsa] said, ‘I didn’t – I just said she was born out of wedlock.'”
Andy admits he’s “hot” at this point, telling Larsa “it’s a hard thing to talk about.”
“It won’t surprise anyone why I’m so hot,” he said. “I am a single father with two children, so there is no one else; no other parent.”
“I became very sensitive to the idea that it was a weapon,” added Andy, “and that’s why I jumped in there.”
