There have been many chaotic times in the years since Real Housewives first opened in 2006 with Real Housewives of Orange County. But that’s uppermost in the executive producer’s mind Andy Cohen?
During a recent interview, the Watch What Happens Live The host looked back at the most dramatic moments of the ladies in their respective shows and revealed how to prepare for each reunion of the series, which often requires 10 or more hours of filming.
“The most chaotic scene in Housewife history … I mean, you know, what always comes out [Teresa Giudice‘s] flip table or [Aviva Drescher]’s leg toss or Mr. Shah‘s arrest or, you know, there’s a long list,” Andy shared with Yahoo! Australia on February 22, naming the “chaotic” moment from Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Real Housewives of New York Cityand Real Housewives of Salt Lake Cityrespectively.
Also, speaking to Yahoo! Australia, Andy explains the process he went through before filming the reunion with the cast.
“I thought that everything I did was for the reunion because I had guests Watch What Happens Live over the season, and I listen to what the fans say. And I watched bits and pieces of the show,” he explained.
“And I heard about it when the shooting happened,” he said. “So it’s been great — I’m walking out there to do what I need to do.”
While Andy was able to get into the Real Housewives reunion prepared, it didn’t mean it was easy. In fact, he has dealt with his fair share of drama as he tries to mediate between the ladies. And, in 2019, they repeated the hardest reunion on record.
“The hardest reunion I’ve ever been to, probably the early years [RHONJ] where is the bloody war,” he said during the Q&A session WWHL For the Consideration Emmys event in New York City that year.
“Available [also] have one or two [Real Housewives of Atlanta reunions] where [Nene Leakes] it doesn’t feel difficult,” he said.
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday on Bravo.
