Andy Cohen close Robyn Dixon in the hot seat on Friday night as he welcomed her and Eboni K. Williams to the set of a late night talk show, Watch What Happens Live.
The day after The Real Housewives of Potomac cast members came forward, admitting their current husbands, John Dixonhas been involved in a relationship with another woman amid the pandemic, Andy called him out for revealing his infidelity on a paid podcast after failing to address the topic on the show.
“You’re holding back the truth on the reality show you’re on, but you’re selling it behind a paywall,” Andy told her on the Feb. 5 episode. WWHL.
“Well, I’m talking about free podcasts and I’m not holding back,” Robyn replied.
According to Robyn, she only spoke after Juan’s other woman was featured on the blog.
“This information was given like last week or the week before on the blog,” he said. “He lied and I feel the need to correct his lie.”
As RHOP fans have also seen, the woman provided a receipt from the hotel room that paid for Juan. But even so, Robyn insisted that the payment was not a mistake.
“She lives in Canada. Canada is obviously on a strict lockdown during the pandemic, so the hotel receipts came into play because, whatever, she decided she wanted to fly to Maryland. And she had told Juan that she was dating a Baltimore Ravens player. So she told him that she flew to Maryland and he was like, ‘Okay.’ But somewhere along the way, he got to Maryland, he approached her. He told her he lost his wallet at the casino and he couldn’t pay for the hotel room, so he felt bad for her,” Robyn said. “Apparently he was like, very stressed, very confused. He went to the hotel, put his card on the counter and it was over.
After confirming that it was the only time Juan and the woman met, Robyn admitted that the story sounded like “bullshit.”
“When I found out about it, I was like BS but he really… I trust him. And also based on what he revealed last week, I trust him,” Robyn said.
However, Andy isn’t happy that Robyn is withholding information on the show, especially considering the infidelity claims she’s directed at others – along with her denials. Karen HugerAccusations against Juan.
“How do you keep quiet all season?” he wondered.
“It was kind of in the back of my mind. Like, we dealt with it, we moved on from it. Like, I don’t know why I would say, ‘Hey guys, pick me. Let’s talk about my problems,'” Robyn replied.
But Andy was not satisfied, and said, “Your hope will show everything that happens in your life. Hence from that. This is not about ‘pick me,’ waiting to be picked. It’s, ‘Hey, we’ve been through things and this is what happened in our lives.
“But it’s not a problem when we’re filming,” Robyn said.
“But it’s been a problem in your relationship,” Andy shot back. Robyn went on to say that the issue “doesn’t fit the current location.”
As fans watch as Robyn considers the cheating clause in her prenup RHOPshe ultimately chooses to fight, even though Juan’s other woman advances.
“I think it’s just an opportunity you take. And at the reunion, I said, ‘That’s great, who can fight me if there’s any reason in the last years, I’ll do something,’ and it got a little muddy and It’s a bit dark when trying to figure out what the infidelity clause looks like,” he reasoned.
After revealing Juan’s other relationship, some of Robyn’s castmates reacted, including Candiace Dillard Bassettyour husband, Chris Bassettthe accuser Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby lies about her to upset Robyn’s situation.
“I don’t know how Ashley plays it. We never discuss it, so I don’t know how she plays it. As far as Gizelle, I’m sure Gizelle will tell you, we’re really good friends. We talk about it when it happens, so why would she should I mention it during filming when she and I have already talked about it? asked Robyn.
“Well, she has no problem bringing other people’s messes on the show,” Andy said, pointing out that Gizelle had previously been in the spotlight. Wendy Osefo and Candiace.
“True, but what, I can’t speak for him. I really can’t,” Robyn stammered.
And after Andy asked her if there was a double standard, Robyn admitted there was “probably” one.
“But I expect Candiace to do it for Wendy. Like, if the roles were reversed and if someone else was in the same situation, I would expect someone else to do the same thing for their friends,” he added.
Andy then questions how she used Karen’s accusations against Juan to justify dragging her, even though there are bones in the closet.
“Well, we all have a bone to trust,” Robyn explained.
“But you’re really laughing … It’s like, ‘Oh my God, this can’t be happening. This is ridiculous,'” Andy recalled.
“Not. I didn’t say that,” Robyn clapped back. “She told me, ‘Robyn, Juan has a blonde girlfriend who looks like me, he’s walking around Georgetown holding hands and you know about it.’ I’ve never heard that … blondes in Georgetown are not the same as women on the other side of Canada.
According to Robyn, she does not believe that “anyone” is RHOP brings all the private life to share.
“Does Karen bring her … anything that’s been on the show? No. And I don’t expect them to say that when something breaks,” he said.
And when it came to people calling it “bullsh-t” about Juan’s claims about the hotel receipts, Robyn said, “We’ve talked about it and I believe the story they told me.”
Although many have slammed Robyn as hypocritical for her expectations of her co-stars, Robyn told Andy that she does not demand transparency from her co-stars in terms of their relationship.
“If someone asks me about my relationship and says, ‘Oh, I heard these rumors,’ then I’ll do the same thing. I’ll give it to them,” he said. “But I’m not demanding transparency about anyone’s relationship.”
At that time, Andy asked Robyn why she did not explain what caused her wedding to be delayed, giving a nod to her admission of betrayal by Juan leading her to pump break on the big day.
“It’s a combination of things and that’s why I can’t say 100 percent, so the situation doesn’t happen in other people’s timelines,” he said. “There’s a combination of why it doesn’t happen in other people’s timelines.”
As for the comment Karen made at the reunion, which suggested there was something else about Juan, Robyn admitted the comment might be about the woman who recently came forward.
“Maybe, but I also have a thing for Karen. We know we have something for each other,” he teased.
Also on Sunday WWHLRobyn revealed her real problem with Wendy.
“So there’s a lot that we can’t see like I feel like he treated me in season six and the season six reunion and I talked about it in the season seven reunion. But I feel like he talked to me a lot,” Robyn told fans. “After watching season six, I was hoping he would step back and be like, ‘You know Robyn? I was a little hard on you. I’m sorry. Can we mend our friendship?’ And that never happened. It kind of spilled over into season seven.”
