Nick Lloyd Webber died on Saturday, March 25 at the age of 43. Andrew Lloyd Webberhis father, shared the news in a statement a few hours after his death.
“I am devastated to announce that my eldest son Nick passed away a few hours ago at Basingstoke Hospital,” Andrew said in a statement via social media on Saturday. “His family is all together and we are all lost. Thank you for all your thoughts during this difficult time.
Nick died after an 18 month battle with stomach cancer. His health problems remained private until a week before his death when Andrew, 75, revealed he had not seen a preview of the new Broadway musical, Cinderella is badand will miss opening night because of his son’s illness.

He added that Nick appreciates the support from his fans.
Following in the footsteps of his famous father, Nick became a composer and producer. He earned a Grammy Award nomination in 2022 for producing the West End soundtrack for Cinderella by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The hit Broadway musical of the title Cinderella is bad and opened on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife Polly Wiltshirewho got married in 2018, and four sisters.
Nick is one of two children Andrew shared with his first wife Sarah Hugillhe was married from July 1971 to November 1983. He also shared a daughter Imogen Lloyd Webber45, who attended Cinderella is badopening night in New York City at his father’s and brother’s place.
“Had a visit with my beloved sister and she wanted me [at] @badcinderellabway tonight I will be for my family. We always support Dad and his show … Will be back to hug Nick again. Thank you so much for all the kind messages and ❤️ to all those bravely battling cancer,” Imogen wrote via Instagram on Thursday.
