The CNN host interviewed former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson about the possible fate of Fox after the conservative channel agreed to pay $787.5 million to Dominion Voting Systems for promoting the falsehood that Dominion’s machines were rigged against Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Bartiromo, who appears on Fox Business and Fox News, has emerged as one of the key figures in Dominion’s lawsuit.
When Cooper asked Gretchen Carlson what she thought might be the consequences of Bartiromo’s “disgraceful” journalistic behavior, she delved into his brief past with the right-wing host.
“I don’t know him personally,” he said. “I was on ‘Jeopardy!’ with him once and he didn’t do well.”
Cooper scored a lopsided victory in a 2004 matchup against Bartiromo with CNBC (as seen in the video below). He also created another “Jeopardy.” win later. But it should be noted that cable reporters, guest hosts of “Jeopardy!” in 2021, once lost to Lara Logan, another right-wing personality with ties to Fox News. He also released a game for stoner comedian Cheech Marin.
