Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes: Out at ABC! Read the Official Statement

The ax has reportedly fallen on Amy Robach and TJ Holmes.

According to various outlets (Page Six, TMZ), the fired journalist has not completed the formal mediation process with ABC…

They are out of a job.

Insiders connected to the network now say executives have cut ties with the anchors, each of whom will receive payments based on their contracts.

The decision comes about six weeks after Robach and Holmes were taken off the air due to an affair that was made public after photos of the stars went viral in December.

Both journalists are married (although Holmes just filed for divorce and reports indicate that Robach’s marriage to actor Andrew Shue has been effectively over for months), causing optical problems for producers.

However, both Robach and Holmes hired lawyers as soon as the suspension was handed down because it was unclear whether they had violated the terms of their contracts.

Therefore, TMZ reports that Thursday’s lengthy mediation session was “very contentious.”

TJ Holmes and Amy Robach definitely like each other. You can go ahead and take the method you want.

Over the past few days, various articles have appeared portraying Holmes as a sexual predator, alleging that he slept with several young ABC staffers.

“He was a predator who took advantage of his position, and he was reckless,” one person told The Daily Mail about Holmes’ past.

During the mediation, TMZ wrote that the executive also tried to damage Robach’s reputation.

At one point, a higher-up reportedly accused Robach of keeping liquor in the dressing room, which would have been a policy violation.

Another time, someone accused Robach of attending the 2022 College Football National Championship game and returning to work the next day drunk.

One source called this allegation “insane,” while labeling the liquor claims “ridiculous” and the whole thing as a “witch hunt” meant to find ways to kill the anchor.

Robach and/or Holmes may file a lawsuit down the line for wrongful termination.

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are pictured on the set. They also like to be in bed together, we hear.

Whatever happens professionally for the couple, however, they continue to put a united front in the romance department.

He has even been seen in the past few weeks, acting cute, cozy and loving.

Attorneys for Holmes’ estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig, said a few weeks ago:

“Throughout the holiday season and in challenging times, Marilee’s single focus remains on the best interests of her 9-year-old daughter.

“To that end, TJ’s attorney and I have worked together to proceed with the divorce privately, quickly and amicably.”

The statement was followed by a swipe at the disrespectful host:

“However, we continue to be disappointed by TJ’s lack of tact, respect and sensitivity towards Marilee and her party daughter.

“Marilee has been touched by the support and is looking forward to a fresh start in the new year.”

UPDATE: ABC has issued the following statement …

“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about various options, we all agreed that it was best for everyone to move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and thank them for their contributions.

The network will announce the permanent co-host for GMA3 later.
