Over the years and especially in recent months, Amy Duggar has talked a lot about Jim Bob and Michelle.
It makes sense. He has sat through many experiences – some upsetting, some absurd, and many both. And hey, even some of his relatives are talking.
One example? According to Amy, she once hoped that her younger siblings could be happy VeggieTales. But the Duggars banned the obviously Christian children’s program for the most ridiculous reasons.
That said…some people online are questioning whether this is true, or an exaggeration.

Late last week, Amy Dillon King took to her Instagram page to make the announcement.
“Be brave this year and just don’t hold back!” the Duggar cousin stated.
“I’ve never been a part of IBLP officially,” Amy says, “but I’m around family members who are very involved and are on the board.”

The IBLP is a well-known non-denominational fundamentalist Christian organization. A murder survivor has been described as an abuser, a dangerous cult.
“I’m just not going to be afraid to tell the truth anymore,” he asserted.
“And,” Amy promised, she wouldn’t hesitate to “unmask the cult that destroyed IBLP.” good!

Apart from all this, Amy also shares TikTok videos of herself.
As is often the case with such nightmarish and increasingly destructive applications, the key to the video is the text itself.
He recalled having “brought up VeggieTales” at one point, possibly during a visit to the Duggar home.

Amy wrote that she did this “so that my siblings would at least not see the cartoons.”
He went on to emphasize that VeggieTales is a “Christian, healthy cartoon.” It is a strictly Christian cartoon series, and there is no shortage of critics who argue that it plays an unethical role in indoctrination.
But apparently, that’s not enough for Amy’s family. In his eyes, it is still very radical.

According to Amy, an unnamed person told her that “VeggieTales is not welcome in our home.”
Reportedly, this absurd man explained: “I don’t want my children to think of vegetables.”
“I’m not your kid, I was told last year…” Amy then wrote. “I’ve been saying that for a few months now-“

Many of us have heard stories from friends and loved ones about extremists on the fringes of society who ban children’s media every day. Sometimes, the reasons are related. Other times, they’re as weird as Duggar’s explanation for VeggieTales.
However, as you can see above, community redditor / DuggarSnark mentioned the moment the Duggar family claimed to be watching VeggieTales in 2014.
There are three possibilities: The first is that the family develops a policy. The second is the post claiming to watch VeggieTales is a lie, to make the family seem more mainstream. And the third thing is that Amy could be misremembering. Or exaggerating.
