Over the years, Amy Duggar has shown what Jim Bob’s paranoia and extremism can do.
The NDA seems to prevent him from sharing more — at least, without risking litigation.
But it’s no secret that he and Jim Bob are locked in an often unspoken but very visible feud.
Now, Amy reminds everyone that when “the devil” strikes, you know you’re on the right side.

On Instagram, Amy Duggar shared a simple video – which could have been a GIF – showing a rainy night, with street lights providing dramatic lighting.
The description provides a more dramatic flare, but reflects religious (Christian) imagery.
“Satan will not attack you so hard if he exists [weren’t] something Holy in you,” the post said. “Thieves don’t enter an empty house.”

Both statements are analogies that are essentially saying the same thing, albeit with slightly different phrasing.
The point is, if you have something the enemy wants, loves, or fears, they will attack you in some capacity, either taking it from you or silencing you.
And, the proverb suggests, the fact that people come after you in some way shows that you have something of value.

Of course, in reality, burglars prefer to break into homes that are easier to break into than their neighbors.
(The sound can’t tell, but having one more key on the door or window that’s a little smaller than the person next to you can help prevent random entry)
But, of course, if a thief carries out a targeted attack to steal certain things from a house that has been monitored and monitored, well, he does not enter an empty house.

Now, Amy isn’t making an analogy. But he chose to share the metaphor on social media. Why?
Well, only one “enemy” comes to mind when we think of Amy. That would be Jim Bob Duggar.
In a sense, he – as a notorious scumbag – is the enemy of every decent person on the planet. But one could argue that he is, on a more personal level, Amy’s enemy. And the implication is clear: Jim Bob doesn’t want Amy to STFU if he doesn’t have tea to spill.

Since this is Amy, we should also consider that she can refer to it literally devil.
For many of us, the “devil” is just a sexy redhead who makes an easy Halloween costume. Even many Christians do not believe in a literal Satan figure.
However, some do. Christian conservatives like Amy may believe that Lucifer himself is actually working with villains – like Jim Bob – to make the world a worse place, and act against Amy.

We should note that, whether we take Amy’s post as a metaphor or a literal expression of her religious beliefs, it is not cut and dry.
For example, it does not mean that whoever is attacked must be “holy” and therefore besieged by “demons”.
For example, many people come after Josh Duggar. But they are not devils, and they are not holy. The trick, it seems, is figuring out which side is good and which is bad. But that is always the case.
